Image of Purkinje cell and pyramidal cell

“Here we see two different kinds of neurons: a Purkinje cell found in the cerebellum and a pyramidal cell I picked up in the motor area of the cerebral cortex. Both are very nice specimens, don’t you think?

“The dendrites on the Purkinje cell are easy to pick out at the top of the cell, whereas the axon is lower down. The axon for the pyramidal cell also is the lowest branch, while the other branches are dendrites.”
