“As you can see in the figure, the frontal lobes (remember, there's one on either side of the brain) are in front of a groove called the central fissure and above the lateral fissure. The temporal lobes lie beneath the lateral fissure, with the parietal lobes above them and behind the central fissure. Finally, at the back of the brain lie the occipital lobes, which are not separated from the other lobes by any easily definable landmark.
