Viki Plays in Water

In her first year, Viki’s play seemed to be laying a strong foundation for mechanical abilities and basic skills. In addition to imitation and motivation, her curiosity was a great help to her learning. As it developed, she explored new things, and in turn, learned about things she might not have otherwise.

During her whole life, Viki showed a consistent interest in water and the devices used to contain and control it. She often watched her parents clean their backyard pool out by manually dipping the water out with a pan or bucket. Her curiosity taking over, she eventually learned to help and could do it on her own. This clip shows her at 6 years.
