In her first year, Viki’s play seemed to be laying a strong foundation for mechanical abilities and basic skills. In addition to imitation and motivation, her curiosity was a great help to her learning. As it developed, she explored new things, and in turn, learned about things she may not have otherwise.

Her whole life, Viki showed a consistent interest in water and the devices used to contain and control it. She loved to play in the pool in her backyard, shown here at 5 years.
