MI-62: Opening a bottle

At the age of three, Viki shows some difficulty using a bottle opener. If you look carefully, you will notice the opener she is using is a type that has gone the way of the Dodo bird. The opener is similar to can openers of today, but it required that a metal prong be put under the lip and the pivot be placed on the center of the cap in order to pry the cap off. If the placement of the prong or the pivot point wasn't perfect, the opener didn't work properly. That may be why the youthful Viki has so much difficulty in the task, but she shows considerable persistence in the task. Once she gets the bottle open, Viki quickly uses a straw to reach the tasty beverage inside. And, yes, that IS a glass bottle. This was well before the days of plastic bottles or even aluminum cans. Although they were subject to breakage, at least they could be recycled.
