MI-21: Viki plays in sprinkler

Here Viki, at age 4.5, sets up the sprinkler for a little cool fun. Note how planful her actions appear: Viki grabs the sprinkler, then aims it, not at her current location, but where she wants to be. Viki then climbs into place, tests the water with a toe, and then moves into place.

The wooden pole and platform is a ‘substitute tree’ that was built for Viki. Viki loved to climb trees, but was not fond of coming back down. They used an electric fence to keep her from climbing trees, then built a shorter platform for Viki to climb.
