At age 5 1/2, Viki has become quite skilled in fine motor movements. In contrast with other video clips taken at an earlier age, here we see Viki engrossed in a single task that occupies her full attention. She does a fine job at filing her nails. This requires some skill at positioning the nail file and drawing it correctly in order to file the nail and not her fingers or toes. Viki learned this skill by observation, but it took a lot of practice to perfect the necessary motor actions.
